Cut like the master chef with the official Katsu-Ya brand knives. This single-beveled knife is known as a Yanagiba (柳刃) knife in Japan. "Yanagiba" translates to "willow tree blade" due to its long, slender and sharp point resembling a willow leaf. The Yanagiba knife has been around for centuries and is believed to have originated in the Kansai region near Osaka, Japan. The design of the single-beveled edge is to execute a clean cut when slicing sushi or sashimi. This is a RIGHT-HANDED knife; left-handed knives are currently in production.
